 Matco Brake Mod

Here are the pictures of my Matco brake rework. The idea is simple:

lower the actuating lever from the top of the pedal to the bottom, but

then you have to work around the barrel of the reservoir with a yoke

that straddles it. Even when you do that the axle of the master

cylinder will touch the brake pedal in mid stroke and alter it's angle a

bit. I don't see any solution to this, but the mod does increase

pressure to the brake cylinder. The first time I actuated the brakes I

felt my right brake go flat. I found that I blew out a connection of

the brake lines going to the wheel. The connection had functioned for

39 hours previously. I guess this is some sort of evidence of increased

pressure.
