601XL Rear Spar Splice
Though most of the Zodiac 601XL can be made using simple hand tools and a few shop tools, some parts are not easily done without the use of a 12 ft brake( with a 1/8th radius to boot). I unfortunately only have a 4 ft brake( plans on how to build my 4 ft brake will appear soon on this website) , and until I build Larry McFarland's 8 ft brake (after I finish my Zodiac) I have to borrow a friends brake. After talking with Chris we came up with this change in his plans for the Rear Wing Spar just to accommodate us builders that cannot get to a 12 ft brake.
